What better way to celebrate a new year than staying in your pajamas and eating ruffles with dip?
After a lazy morning/afternoon we went out to look at tide pools. We chose a place we had never been to, and it turned into a loooong nature walk/hike instead! Mom stayed in the car with a sleeping cora because we thought we would be like 15 minutes....um two hours later we were back and it was almost completely dark! Got a little lost. Mom was so nice and patient! We all felt terrible about it!
These views made me think I was in Jane Eyre and we were lost on the Moors!
Or maybe on the coast in a tiny cottage with the ladies of Sense & Sensibility.
We found a cool cave!
But the best part was that the tide was so far out it exposed all sorts of cool sea life.

Afterwards we went straight home to warm up
and to eat our traditional new year dinner of bbq chicken, steaks, mushroom soup, and dad's famous Caesar salad which was amazing as always. Better than any dessert!
Then we played headbanz! The kids quit early on, but the adults laughed and laughed! Fun game!
