We got back from Reno in time to drive over to the beach house to celebrate my Dad's birthday. And on the way over there we saw the most exciting thing in the sky! Just ask Cora, she tells someone about it every single day since. Can you spot it?
It's the Minion Blimp! We loved seeing it fly over on tv at the Giants game the night before and it was the biggest thrill to see it flying right by our house! Best day ever!
It was a typical cool and foggy July day at the coast but we didn't mind at all!

Last year on Dad's 60th birthday Brett gave his farewell talk and was set apart as a missionary.
So 61 was slightly less eventful!
And then while the girls played with grandma and the boys watched baseball...
I made Dad's requested birthday cherry crisp!

For his birthday he got new golf balls and a radar detector for the birthday present he got for himself!
