Reno Day 3

So, it's really hot in the desert. But that didn't stop us from going to the Animal Ark Wild Animal Park outside Reno! You can see what it's about here. Basically it's a wildlife refuge for awesome wild animals.

Like a last chance ranch basically. And it was Shelby's favorite thing about Reno. She still talks about it.

Especially the two mountain lions. Go Cougars!

Seriously though it was so hot you guys. Thank goodness for our fun golf cart!

This was Trevor's favorite animal, the big bear playing tether-ball! We were mesmerized and terrified. Each animal has a special rescue story. This guy was found as a cub by the freeway without his mother. His ears fell off because of frostbite and he is so aggressive that he couldn't be released into the wilderness. So he gets to live here and play with the big ball on a chain whenever he likes!

That's one sleepy bobcat. Have I written on the blog about when we saw a bobcat in the field behind my parent's house in Saratoga? Yeah. It was cool and scary.

Checking out the barn owl. So beautiful!

The jaguar just had surgery that morning and didn't get to eat breakfast.

So he was pacing and was very hungry and wouldn't take his eyes off Cora! Yikes! Let's get outta here!
We finished our last day with a yummy lunch of Mexican food and lots of hugs. Thanks for the fun trip Grandpa Curtis and Grandma Kathi! We had an awesome time!
