April was full of fun things, like our garden's abundance of cilantro,
and the day where I got to go shopping by myself for almost 4 hours!
There is a fun time in between baths and bed where the girls love to run around naked and hide in blankets.
Cora really doesn't like for beds to be made and has made it her mission to pull off all bedspreads each day.
Bolt! He's the only kind of dog we like!
Morning sister dance time!
We finally made it to the Farmer's Market that is a quick 5 minute walk from our house.
We walked with our neighbors, which means there were 6 kids total and I think we were scaring people at the market! We came away with apples, strawberries, kettle corn, and a carrot pie!
To balance out the freshness, we walked over to McDonalds afterwards.
These kids were in heaven!
Matching pairs.
As usual, I was pushing an empty stroller by the end,
Have I mentioned how much we love our neighbors? We love them SO MUCH!
We had a small crop of strawberries from our garden, but hey, it was our first try so were pretty happy!
Never change chop chop. We snuck in a quick Lodi visit, barely any pictures because we were SO busy!
My matching outfit loving girls.
Sisters are the best.
Grandma has the most beautiful purple blossoms in her backyard!
When the wind blows and they rain down on you, it feels like a dream!
We worked on furnishing the little playhouse this month too. When they installed the golf green in the backyard, my parents also had the house moved closer. They installed carpet and we loaded up with cute, perfect, tiny children's ikea furniture which trevor so graciously built. Such a good daddy! Excited doesn't even cover it. I'm just glad the girls didn't pass out when they saw it all put together!
Basically, it's heaven.
Cuddly Cora. Throw pillows are always in danger of ending up outside when this little girl is around!
Grandma's house = ice cream
CHEERS!
On another beautiful, warm Saturday, we grabbed Erick's Deli with our friends Jim and Nancy and their daughter Grace (Shelby's best school friend) and headed down the road about 10 minutes to a fantastic park. We explored a little, ate lunch, colored with chalk, and then played keep away and plain old catch! My favorite part was when just the adults played four square, we could not stop laughing!
We couldn't stay too long, because the breeze had picked up and the other 3 adults all started having crazy allergic reactions. They ended up with hives, swelling, itchiness, sneezing, etc. I am so grateful to not have allergies! We all decided to wait to come back for a few months! Later that night Jim took Trevor along with him to see the Lumineers in concert. It's so fun to be friends with a music critic!!!
My parents always love having missionaries over to their house for p-day parties, but they especially love to do it when they have a child on a mission! The Elders and Sisters enjoyed a day of putting,
volleyball and table tennis
and a big bbq lunch! We always hope that it means people will take extra good care of Elder Thawley!
These two. I didn't catch the quick hug, but it was adorable.
It will be so fun to embarrass them with these pictures some day!!!
We really think we could pass them off as twins.
My favorite thing is when we hear them talking to each other-toddler style.
"bird?" "okay" "slide?" "slide." "down" "climb?" "uh-oh" and so on!
These two may not be twins but they are the BEST of friends. Their preschool teacher actually said that she thinks they'll get married because they get along so well. It's true, they never fight, but we don't talk about them like that. They are just buds!
Big brother Spencer is always ready with ideas of what to play, and the three of them are always off using their super samurai powers or something...but they are true blue friends because Shelby totally got them to watch 3 episodes of My Little Pony, and they liked it!
Bring on the Summer time! We are ready!
