Easter Friday!

After a morning game of hide-n-seek,
we got our Good Friday going and got ready for Shelby's preschool Easter party!
In matching dresses of course.

Seeing the kids in those ears? Too much cuteness!

Shelby was a smart cookie and ran over to the other side of the playground and had tons of eggs to choose from! She even got the best one-which was in the dinosaur's mouth. (In the middle of the picture) He lives at the playground and the kids all fight over him. His name is Diny. I dunno. She talks about the toy often. Must be a preschool thing!

Miss Sandra had a grand old time watching her cute class of bunnies search for eggs.

I had to coach Shelby a bit, though she still only picked up half of her allowed 10 eggs. After the hunt was done, a bunch of kids didn't get all the eggs they wanted. One little girl had to hand over her bag of at least 25 eggs so Shelby and the other kids could have their fair share. HAHA! She wanted some candy! Her parents looked mortified!

Shelby would have been happy with just this one! "Oh my gurrrrrr! A bunny egg!!!!!"
Doesn't she look like that internet meme? Cracked me up!

Sisters. Best Buds. Love them!

Cora didn't want to leave her side, but they were taking pictures of the class together, so we obliged.

The only Blondes in the class gotta stick together! The 3 musketeers!

Cora was ready for the games to begin!

Shelby wanted to do the "pin the tail on the bunny" game first and promised her teacher that she would keep her eyes closed. "I pwomise"

And yet....she got the tail perfectly on the circle. Hmmmmm. Somebody peeked! Miss Sandra and I had a pretty good laugh about that one! Sneaky little bunny rabbit.

Egg hunt with Ivy! Shelby said they like to talk about super heroes and bugs.

My turn?

What's this? Face painting!

I'm in!!!!!

Can't stop smiling.

Bunny nose, check!

Whiskers, check!

4 year olds are my FAVORITE!

Say, Easter eggs!!!

Little siblings playing together. He has a big brother and his mom and I joke about trading kids. She wants a girl so badly! Especially when she sees matching dresses like these ones!

Staple those bags shut! Smart!

By the way, it was the hottest day so far this year. In the 80's! These girls were thirsty!!
Grace and Shelby. Total BFF's

Sharing is caring.

Whiskers were starting to fade. Sad face. Afterwards we kept the party going, and Shelby enjoyed a playdate at Grace's house. Cora took a quick snooze and then she helped me get the Easter FedEx packages ready to send to Uncle Brett and Uncle Richard! Sure Richard isn't on a mission, but he still likes getting pictures from his nieces anyway!

Enough FedEx-ing, let's go get Shelby!

Because I wasn't done taking pictures of these dresses, we set up a little egg hunt to finish off our day.
You can see Cora's bunny ears flying to the ground after she refused to wear them. I tried doing the pictures without the flash since our backyard has a nice light. Shelby had fun picking up eggs, she did them one color at a time. First all green because it's my favorite color. Cora was more interested in running on the eggs back and forth and crushing them with her little feet.

We picked up the mail and found fun Easter cards from Grandma Kathi and Grandpa Curtis.

Cora read hers to me, with her little finger following every line like this "Gwamma Kaffi, Gwamma Kaffi, Gwamma Kaffi" and on and on. I had to send them a video of it. So funny! She definitely understood who sent that card!

We finished with some plant watering in color coordinated cups!

No, don't climb in! Okay, time to go inside. We're done here! A Good Friday indeed!
