Valentine's Day!

Shelby was SO excited to dress up fancy for her class' Valentine's Day party. She put on her dress as soon as she got up and was very careful to not get it dirty before preschool started at 12:30. We were working on her Valentines until the last minute, not that they were anything fancy, they just took a long time. She decided on tinkerbell ones for the girls (with bracelets) and phineas and ferb (woth perry erasers) for the boys. Parents were not invited to the party, we just brought the snacks and cards and the teachers did the rest.

Cora enjoyed a little mini-date with Parker in the parking lot.
His mom is always threatening to steal her and say they are twins.
She really wanted a girl!

The sugar shock from V-day did not wear off after 3 hours of school.

Lately this is Shelby's go-to pose, and don't think that these pictures were my idea.
It was all her. "Take a picture with your phone please mom. Lots of them."

I call it her "teapot" look.

She convinced Carter (Parker's brother) to jump off the stage a few times too!
They are buds. No "valentines" to report this year. She put everyone in the friend zone I guess!

That night I had so much fun decorating the house and blowing up heart balloons!
I felt like a Valentines Day fairy!

Ready for the morning!

We did some fun Valentines crafts and opened up Grandma Cindy's presents too.
Then I made heart shaped chocolate chip waffles with our heart shaped waffle maker. Of course!

Then we met some friends at the local gymnastics place for a Valentines party.
The girls loved it. I'm going to have to sign them up this summer for sure.
Then we went to pick out my roses at Costco. It's a great tradition. I forgot to take pictures of them, but those pink roses were amazing.

Grandma Cindy and Grandpa Rich also sent Mrs. Fields cookies and an edible arrangement. Yum!

That night, we all got dressed up to go out to dinner as a family at the country club we just joined called Boulder Ridge up in the Almaden hills. They had a fantastic menu including fun kid options since they know you can't always find a babysitter! (Perfect, since my parents were out of town.)

Getting dressed up for dinner was a dream come true for this 4 year old.
She picked out her own outfit and looked so stylish!

Dinner time! We were very prepared with a bag of entertainment supplies and most importantly
the ipad as well as a dvd player and our phones of course. The girls did great!

Our table was in the "library" of the clubhouse. Just one other table was set up, for a super nice couple named the Picketts. I know their daughter Heather McCauley from the ward in Lodi. It was fun to chat with them. They live in Los Altos and help run a private school, called Pinewood, there. The servers knew it was an all Mormon room, so both tables enjoyed Martinelli's along with the view of San Jose.

The food was equally as exciting as blowing out all the tea lights on the table.

So much love between these two!
The best part of the meal were the desserts. They were amazing.
Even the heart cookies for the kids were out of this world delicious!

"Boots off Mom? All of this heart stuff wore me out!"

Shelby was a big fan of my roses and chose a few to brighten her room.

Then she just had to match the flower too!

Happy Valentine's Day!
