happy fish

after school was over, we decided to put shelby in swim class! we chose to go to happy fish over in livermore because it is indoor and so conveniently close to our house. her class had 3 kids in it, but the first one was just her! lucky us! miss angela is the perfect teacher for the guppy class. 

shelby loved every moment of class. when i was little, i would scream and holler and cling to the chest hair of my teacher. i remember it vividly; i despised swim class. so my parents thought maybe shelby would follow in my scaredy-cat footsteps. they were pleasantly surprised to hear that shelby literally jumped right in! 

cora, it will be your turn soon enough! 

she goes once a week normally, but i put her in a two week mini session to speed things up a bit. so far she's gotten two ribbons-blue and green and is working on her yellow starfish. the kids get to ring a bell when they achieve a ribbon and everyone cheers and each time it's the greatest moment of her life! 

of course we always bring our shark towel! 

after class, shelby likes to take a turn drawing. she said this is a picture of me, apparently i have a very big belly button and ahem, a big rack. the thing on my left arm is baby cora. so true, that cute little thing is always attached to me!

cora and i have quite the time playing, snacking, and running while shelby's in her 30 minute class.
 those cute little animals are a lifesaver!
