day 2. let's do this.

even after only a half-day at disneyland, we all had a hard time waking up the next morning!
these two were literally snoring.

but once the were in their matching outfits and we walked over to the park, it was ON!

we arrived in different groups, richard was with our little family for most of the day.

the first stop at california adventure was of course disney jr.!

what a great show.

it even kept cora's attention for a whole 5 minutes!

then we met up with grandma and grandpa and rode the carousel!

yipeee!

maybe it was the magic of disney, but somehow everyone was wearing coordinating colors!

grandma's was a perfect match! i think we might be related...

dad was nice to enough to sit with cora while she napped so that richard, trevor, and i could go on california screamin'. it was a long line, but my parents were so wonderful and patient. while we were gone, shelby and grandma won lots of stuffed animals that we had to stuff in our suitcase!

with my mommy eyes i was able to spot the stroller during the flip. trevor doesn't believe me.

this is the only group picture of us where you can see how we all coordinated! :)

it was pretty warm for june!

what little girl wouldn't love a princess journal with a lock and key?

that way little sisters can't snoop!

uncle richard, we love you. thanks for suriving the little mermaid ride with a smile on your face.

over in california adventure there was a HUGE line of people and at first we couldn't figure out what it was for...they all had special wristbands...they looked really excited...

well, it was the families and friends of cast members who got special advanced tickets for Cars Land that was opening the week after we were there. we got a glimpse of it...i think mom might have cried a little. mom and dad's favorite disney movie is cars. so even while we were literally standing in disneyland we were making plans for coming back in october for mom and richard's birthdays.

but we didn't talk about it around brett since he will be on his mission in montana! we didn't see him for most of the day because he was with his best friend kortnie, coach kevin, and kevin's girlfriend. aren't they just so cool in their matching disney glasses?

shelby missed kevin and kortnie alot!

cora was indifferent.

uncle brett! shelby was so excited to give him his little mickey with a graduation cap on. brett decided he didn't want to walk in his high school graduation ceremony, which was the reason we were all at disneyland. lucky boy! and lucky us! this was way better!

oh cars land, so close, yet so far.

it's family tradition to go on heimlich's chew chew train because it's a perfect combination of fun and lame and we all have a good laugh about it.

time to feed the baby and let her run around!

Cora's Fan Club. that looks like a yummy apple juice slushie!

daddy and shelby got to ride the bumper bugs together, and then they even waited in line for a bit for the tower of terror before it broke down! so none of us got to ride it this time. no biggie. hello october!

after eating our dinner, we made a beeline straight for the awesome dessert shop.
shelby heard the siren song of this pink cupcake and had to answer.

share?

nope!

cora shows her love by squeezing your face. hard!

get ready guys! because we are headed back to disneyland for more rides and then fireworks!

shelby's has to burn off that cupcake.

the girls got fun matching pink sweatshirts because it was wonderful and cold that night. shelby was very brave and went in the haunted mansion! but then she found her true love, the thunder mountain railroad. she rode it both nights and LOVED it. she kept her arms up and couldn't stop smiling. thank you again to mom and dad for following my crazy cora who loves to climb and run while we were on the rides. after the fireworks we ended each night with big ice cream cones. cora and i were very good at sharing. we stayed at a hotel that was about a ten minute walk from the gates. it was so nice to be able to walk back without having to get on a tram or a bus, because the double stroller was always loaded with stuff by the end of the night, though not with kids! people give you very weird looks when you are holding a baby and pushing an empty stroller. life with a toddler!
