trevor and alisha + three little girls: goodbye nursery

this was shelby's very last sunday in nursery. unbelievable!

they are all getting SO big.

that's my girl! horsing around with cami. our nursery meets in a part of the cultural hall and has a seemingly endless supply of toys. it's a huge closet and is organized perfectly. if toys are put away in their incorrect spot in the labeled closet, the other ward gets mad! ha! order is important though when dealing with a bunch of little crazies. since the nursery is big, they split it into two classes, older and younger and they have playtime in here and then snack/lesson/coloring/reading/singing time in two smaller rooms. they have a little rope the kids hang onto to go across the hallway. once i was walking around doing some secretary duties and shelby was at the front of the rope. she saw me, and started yelling excitedly "mo-mmy! mo-mmy!" over and over and made a beeline for my while still holding onto the rope! so the rest of the kids got pulled along down the hallway and also started chanting "mo-mmy! mo-mmy!" it was pretty hilarious.

busy bees.

they usually just leave out one bin of toys to keep the kids happy while parents come for pick-up. shelby has been so lucky to have maressa as her nursery leader. the other sisters have been wonderful too though maressa has been there the entire time. her daughter bailey is shelby's age as well. what i love about our nursery is that the leaders get down and play with the kids instead of just standing around and chatting. maressa was so helpful during that long first year of nursery when shelby refused to go. she was a big part of the reason that shelby finally started liking nursery.

maressa also always looked totally fabulous even though she was with the kids for two hours!

as secretary, one of my duties was to take pictures of each child in primary and nursery. i love all these little personalities. and someday when shelby's at byu we can look back at this and see who else is there with her from her little nursery class. she will be annoyed by that, no doubt, but i don't care!
