at the beginning of april we enjoyed some family time at the beach.
uncle and niece got to spend some quality time and everyone got a chance to hold cora. she was in a sweet phase where she wanted to be held constantly. so it was perfect timing because that's all we wanted to do anyway!also on this trip the whole family watched tangled. dad loved it. richard and brett both admitted that it was very funny and entertaining. they are such good uncles.
the next day, while the other boys golfed, richard helped us go down to the beach for cora's first time seeing the ocean!
since i was carrying the baby, he did the shelby-chasing.
and i was free to take pictures of the ocean and this cute flock of birds.
i love the coast.
but nobody loves the beach as much as my mom. it's like we always say, my dad loves the mountains and my mom loves the beach...and so we have a beach house!
TAKE MY
SHOES
OFF
NOW!
hey richard, the ocean's over behind you. textaholic.
black sunglasses are the best.
wearing it while walking back up these stairs burned extra calories for sure!
as you can see, the rain was coming soon so we hurried to enjoy the last moments of sun.
the sound of ocean waves is soooo soothing.
gorgeous.
and we also saw
a surfer! i am always amazed that people get in the water here. it has to be 90 degrees outside for me to even think about it. those wet suits aren't enough up here in norcal! i guess i'm just a wimp.
and as always
shelby wanted to take off her clothes.
she just wanted to be sure she got sand on every single part of her body. thanks babe.
then just as cora got hungry,
it started to rain!
so we said goodbye to the ocean and shelby was sad.
we love to go to the beach!
because when grandma is there, mommy actually gets to relax.
i'm so lucky. as always, thanks mom!
