in the weeks before labor day i tried to use all the white clothes that i could.
shelby also got new tennis shoes because all summer she has only worn her two pairs of salt water sandals, one pair pink and one pair silver. they are the greatest shoes in the whole world. even after a whole summer they still look awesome. but finally, mom convinced me that she needed real shoes, those shoes to be exact. i wanted nothing to do with them, because they will only match certain things and also because they light up. but shelby loves them and other moms at the shoe section in nordstroms were all saying how they wished their daughters were young enough to wear fun shoes like that. i still think they are crazy looking, but shelby loves when we turn off the lights and she can jump up and down to make the pink, blue, and yellow lights go off.
they do look good with her new jeggings.
but go figure, when she's outside she doesn't want her shoes on.
oh and cheeeeeeese!
shelby loves making us draw her pictures, specifically whales and sharks-hammerhead sharks to be exact.
here she is "hammering" with her fist to emphasize her love of hammerhead sharks.
i want a pair of her jeans by the way.
i also had her wear my ultra favorite outfit before the white pants wearing days expired.
it's always very nerve racking to have a toddler in white pants. though, even when i wear white pants i get nervous because i always end up spilling something.
oh, but the grey shirt? to die for. it was a dress, but i kept it going as a shirt.
so, before we left for the day, i felt like i should take some pictures of my favorite outfit. too bad she was not interested in modeling because...
a few hours later we were visiting a friend and shelby accidentally got tangled in a cord and knocked over my friend's scentsy candle warming thing all overherself. luckily she wasn't burned or anything, though she was very scared. as you might guess the orange wax destroyed her clothing, was in her hair, was on me, was one my friend's carpet and walls. ughhhhhhh. we enjoyed a midday scrubbing bath after that one. and no amount of oxyclean was touching orange wax stains. and even after i cleaned her trevor said she still smelled like cinammon hours later. so, i am glad i don't own any of those candles because they are pretty much ruined forever for me!
