shelby's first giants game

on tuesday the 15th shelby attended her first giants game!
but first, we went to the carnival that they had across the street from the ballpark.
shelby couldn't go on any rides, but luckily there was a petting zoo. with a zebra!
not that she cared, she was more excited about the "goas!" (she doesn't say the "t" in goat.)

the goats were very hungry and were eyeing shelby's orange bow.

but daddy was there to protect her.

and he found some little baby goats that she could maul.

these little tiny chickens were super cute and would probably taste good with terryaki sauce.

it was so fun to have the goats eat our of our hands. shelby fed them a bunch, she is so brave.

after the petting zoo we took a break. it was lds family night at the giants game, so they had a bunch of mormon dance/singing groups of kids perform. we didn't watch them, i think it was just their parents in the audience! we were there to see someone else:

brooke white! she was awesome.

shelby and trevor enjoyed her songs too. and later at the game she sang "take me out to the ballgame" at the seventh inning stretch! fun!

it was brrrr cold at the game of course. brett refused to bring a sweatshirt and so he was very grateful that i had bought a new blanket that was big enough for 3 of us to use. we cozied up real nice.

we didn't win the game, but it was still fun. we were there with friends from work and their families, so it was a total blast! and since we got to sit in the lds section there were tons of other kids and nobody minded when their seat got kicked or when you had to get up a million times. and we also didn't have to smell any yucky beer! bonus!

during the game, grandma cindy took shelby for an hour long walk around the park! oh joy! buh-bye!
she even had her do a "htitting" practice at the kids zone. and she bought her a teeny giants sweatshirt that is so stinking cute. she also let shelby eat a box of m&ms, cause she's a grandma.

shelby fell asleep towards the end of the game.

but by the time we we made it to the other side of the park she woke up excited to be there!

it was a great family outing! the first of many games to come!
