while you were sleeping

last week shelby woke up from her nap to find a whole new world.

she opened the door to the side yard and couldn't believe her luck!

she ran over and started inspecting her new.....

 playhouse! hooray! shelby's great grandpa said that she needed a playhouse and a sandbox and his wish is our command! we chose this one for a few reasons.

we liked the mini kitchen part. here she is washing her hands. and behind her is a place with tools and nails that you can play with, since we want her to be well-rounded.

and we knew she would love the little door.

but it's the mailbox that clinched it. it's mailtime! here's the mail, it never fails, it makes me want to wag my tail, when it comes i want to wail, MAIL! (yay for blues clues!)

great grandpa really wanted shelby to get a sandbox. and we picked out a sand and water table. we tried it with the sand but shelby made it into a mud table. which by the way toys r us has those, they are called mud pie makers and you make mud "cakes" and mud "ice cream scoops" and it looks so gross! anyways. we took out the sand and now it only has water. which is also crazy since she constantly drinks the water and gets herself completely soaked! so this is not a table for fancy dresses. but that little orange car track on the side is by far shelby's favorite part. i knew it would be! she loves to have her cars race down it.

she loved it all and decided she would keep us as parents. hooray for great grandpa lou and his awesome idea. and a big thanks to trevor for putting it all together while i read a magazine. :) i love having such a skilled and patient and smart husband!
