by the end of the year shelby was 5 years old going to school five days all day with energy to spare.

likes to clean and organize her room. It's one of my favorite things ever to go in and see how she has decided to set things up.

sweet as sugar. always. kind and sensitive. she is often thinking of others and things she wants to buy them/draw for them/make for them. never ever mean. when she's tired she gets sad, crying tells me that she needs her rest! still a night owl though which is hard when school starts early! you can be there between 8:15 and 8:45 and as the year progressed we arrived later and later.
her play time is very creative and organized. loves to set up parties and restaurants and stores.

crazy. that hair! i'm still haven't gotten the hang of it!
self sufficient.
takes charge at bathtime, i can just sit back and relax.
loves all animals. though we will be sticking to the stuffed kind for a long time still.
um yeah. i don't want to talk about it.
asks me to take pictures of things like this tile in the bathroom of happy hollow.
knows how to work a bathing suit. also loved those sandals to the point where i had to hide them when it got cold.
her year of kiwi crate projects was a huge success. art and science are her things!
starting to just want to wear dresses!
will sing for her supper!
loves her mama even in the mornings! she always listens, never gives me trouble, still loves to snuggle, and helps me with whatever we need. Happy, excited, curious, smart, busy, friendly, kind. The best Shelby ever born.
