January!

Wait, what month is it? Is it really January and things have already started blooming?
First dinner with friends in 2014. 8 kids, 6 adults! Fun and loud! The kids took turns doing a talent show for us. Cora even sang frozen songs for everyone making the other moms (who both have all boys) want a girl of their own even more! It was pretty cute-even according to people who aren't her parents! I was surprised that she knew all the words and that she would be so brave. Shelby was a little sad at the party because she isn't as wii proficient as all the boys, something I guess we should work on? I forget about video games! I want her to be a cool girl, and we do have a playstation, xbox, and a wii (poor daddy needs something to help him in this house full of girls and glitter). Skylanders here we come.

Uncle Richard came over to say goodbye before he flew back to Utah. They didn't want him to go!
We even ordered up extra January sunshine to try to convince him to stay. :)
But his bachelor pad was waiting, so instead the girls hugged sparkles the reindeer.
Then we rode scooters in matching frozen sweatshirts and ugg boots. Let's ride ladies!
There were very random decorations in our neighborhood, like this lighthouse, and a peacock, but their favorite thing was a big electronic sign that counted down the days until Christmas. We had to drive by it every night! Almost every house near us had some sort of lights. So awesome.
But the holidays were over, it was time to go back to school!
Back to lunches and routines and gymnastics with coach kristen. she's the best! so patient and sweet.
And my sweet husband even got me a big bouquet of red roses for the premier of the bachelor with juan pablo! he gets me. love him! yes to the fantasy suite! this season has been awesome. juan pablo is awful and I can't understand how anyone could be attracted to him beyond what he looks like, but still, very entertaining! also he is the grossest looking kisser! ugh!

we also kept getting gifts from my mom that she ordered for Christmas! Helped keep January exciting!
Not that I am ever bored with these two cuties at home!
Especially when they get totally sick and hack and cough and have to stay home!
Somebody sure loves sick days!
We were back in no time. The warm, sunny weather definitely helped. And lots of apples! Eating them under the tree in their sunday best was a fun treat.
Purple princesses posing for pictures.
Okay mom! Enough!
They are just two tiny two year olds still! our twins.
On mondays we email uncle brett pictures, and this is the picture Cora wanted to send him. :)
We like to check on the progress of the new target 5 minutes from our house. time move fasterrrrr!
This is the life. Some shopping and then lunch at a french restaurant on Santana Row outside with my mom and a big pot of melted cheeses with bread. We were totally ladies who lunch!
While the east coast was covered in an epic winter, our cali sun was just too bright!
she's got the skillz to pay the billz
our friends adam and jessica moved to arizona, but luckily jessica's parents are still in our ward so they come back to visit now and then! we had to go to happy hollow during their trip. though we didn't tell poor shelby, she hates missing stuff while she's at school!
cautious hayden
crazy climber cora
our other nursery friend, ryan, was there too! with snacks!
the 2 year olds would not stay in one place for a picture.
so we had to trick them with food. thanks stephanie!
this ride never gets old!
10 and 2 cora. good girl.
lunch time! and time to see that cute tiny baby!!!!
looking at the color of your tongue on mom's iphone is always a thrill.
this weather! i know droughts are bad....but gosh they feel good.
so so so good.
Cora gives the drought 2 big thumbs up!
Ready for 49er spirit day!
awesome.

is it nap time yet?
frozen party train at grandma's house! grandma and grandpa took them to the movies and loved it of course! shelby stayed strong and didn't ruin the ending. :) It was viewing number 3 for the girls!
We were too nervous to watch the game against seattle. Our neighbors had invited us to go to the super bowl with them...on the plane with the players...and to all the vip events! i've never cared about a football game so much!
The nerves made Allison a little crazy. Sigh, the loss was sad, but we all soldiered on.
Momlife.
How had we never known this??? The aquarium opened on the day Richard was born! He definitely deserved free lifetime access for that, right???
the cold never bothered her anyway.
cora really likes wearing pajamas all day and who am i to judge since i like yoga pants/basically pajamas.
hates that darn helmet!
helmet hair is just the worst.
napkins and these big cardboard cutouts were all that was left on the entire internet of any frozen themed birthday items! crazy popular. i felt lucky to find them! and those napkins are just awesome! cora's birthday was going to be there before we knew it and she made sure to tell everyone she saw, i'm gonna be fweeee on feb.wu.air.eeee. eighteeeemffffffff. such a big girl!
friday movie night. so much cuddling, so many toys.
