san diego LEGOLAND

a few days after shelby's party, we kept the party going by flying down to san diego! trevor and my dad were in the company golf tournament and so we made a family vacation out of it.

so while the boys were golfing, mom and i took the girls to legoland!
it was the first time for all of us.

i had heard that it was a super kid-friendly place and it exceeded my expectations!
they really thought about what little ones need in an amusement park!

and we got another stroller for the occasion,
we are up to 4 now...not counting a few my mom has...our poor garage.

my favorite thing about legoland is how many play areas there are all over the park.

you don't even have to ride any rides to keep the kids happy, but when you do the lines are short. and of course there are things made of legos everywhere you look. shelby thought they were all awesome.

i love that they have each other, also, the matching clothes helped me spot them quickly.

sharing is caring. we had pizza and the food was pretty good-or maybe we were just super hungry.

they had special rides labeled for ages 3-5. so smart! my mom said that the dad in line behind her was coaching his son about "winning" this race and going around people. ha! relax buddy!

shelby needed no guidance from us. she's a pro from all that practice in her pink mustang.

she even got her driving license! and then we had to hydrate. it was HOT. and humid too.

what the what? outdoor lego stations for little kids to play in? i'm in heaven.

so is she!

shelby sat in there so she could hand cora legos-so she said!

the castle area was shelby's favorite in the park. but she was terrified of the live pirate show!

shelby got her face painted for the first time ever.

she wanted hers to look just like the legoland princess' face.

happy girls!

smart, legoland, very smart. the lego princess store was packed! it was the only super girly area of the park. everything else was great for boys and girls. but mostly boys-and tomboys who love legos like this one with the face paint. don't let the pink fool you!

yawn. you guys go ahead. i've got my fruit snacks.

it was a big day for this baby girl.

shelby wanted me to take endless pictures of her "beautiful face".

why have one pink sword when you could have two?
she also picked out a pirate sword and hat for her dad and little lego sets to send to her uncles.

bath time was very sad that night when we had to say goodbye to the face paint!

zzzzzzzzzzz.
