the day had finally come...shelby got her first car! she and her daddy picked it out, but first daddy had to spray paint over the orange and blue parts, and he definitely said no to the barbie stickers!
what could be better than a pink shelby mustang for our little shelby girl?
the car stays in lodi, since the driveway is just perfect for it.
she can go around and around and around! the car has different speed settings and a little radio that plays some songs, and it's a two seater. so it's ready whenever cora feels up to it!
trevor always wanted a power wheels when he was little, and he was SO excited to get one for his little speed racer.
blanket usually rides shotgun.
daddy, grandpa! check me out!
after we tore shelby away from her new ride, we headed over to our cousins' graduation party. three of them are going to start high school next year! so their parents decided to just combine the party and get a taco truck! it was held at the bare ranch, which is on the corner of davis and woodbridge. the house was built in the 1800's and it's now owned by our cousins the phillips family. they use it as a guest house for their winery and also rent it out for weddings and such. there was a rather murky pool, that the older kids (not us) were swimming in, so my mommy anxiety was at an very high level the whole time. but we still managed to have some fun too!
that's not a speck of dirt, it's a light brown ladybug! isn't that cool? shelby and i were very excited about it!
trevor was nice enough to stay with my grandpa while we were at the party. grandpa had just gotten out of the hospital after a week in there (yuck) and had to have someone there with him at all times. luckily grandpa is doing better. the giants are playing well, so that always helps.
swallows always build nests at my grandpa's house and he then builds little ledges for them so that their babies don't fall out! i sure love him.
