lucky #7

on may 14th trevor and i celebrated our 7th wedding anniversary!
don't you love our cute baby faces?

i spent some time looking at my favorite wedding pictures,

and thinking about that amazing day.

it was the start of something great!

we left our girls in my parents' loving care and headed out for some good comfort food. outback! we went there on our honeymoon, and sometimes you just want some cheese fries. afterwards we picked up a coldstone cake and headed back to pick up the girls and watch our wedding video, so dad could remember what all his hard earned money paid for that day in 2005.

when we got there, shelby was SO excited to show us our anniversary decorations! my mom said that it was all her idea. she told grandma that she needed to decorate for mommy and daddy getting married and she decided to use uncle brett's leftover birthday stuff. very creative!

she told us "happy anniversary day!"

what a thoughtful, sweet child we have.

they turned brett's 9 upside down. add the 6+1 and you get 7 years of marriage! resourceful.

but my favorite thing was this anniversary card that shelby made.
she even went in grandpa's office and got the temple for it.

if you'll notice, we are wearing crowns!

i often will adjust the ending of her disney princess stories with...and then ariel and prince eric got off the boat and got married in the temple...and then after sleeping beauty at least turned 18, she and prince philip went to the temple and got married...and then prince charming and cinderella took the carriage straight to the temple to get married.

after a beautiful evening, we picked up our kids and rode off into the sunset.

and then i watched the bachelorette. :) look! it's jeff holm (he can drop the f if he wants, but when his mom and siblings talk about him on facebook, they still use two ffs!) his dad and my dad have been in business together for over 30 years and our families grew up vacationing together-hawaii, lake powell. i can't wait until the home visits! (spoiler, we know he makes it to the final 3) but his parents are mission presidents in south carolina right now, so i wonder how it will all play out!

The wedding picture at the beginning of this post is wonderful. I don't think I've seen a better picture of the both of you, especially Alisha looks great.
