i'm thankful for shelby's creativity and how she dumps out her toys and makes a new toy out of her halloween broom and a toy bin. she made us carry her around in it.
i'm also thankful for tile floors that make bike riding in the kitchen possible!
i'm thankful for this cutie pie and how much she loves people food and feeding herself-always. thank you cora!
i'm thankful that trevor loves taking care of the turkey for thanksgiving and even did all the grocery shopping for it! also, i'm thankful for my mother-in-law who helped make all the sides and then did all of the dishes, seriously! all of them!
i'm thankful to have a child old enough to watch the parade and to make turkey hand pictures.
i'm thankful that trevor posed for a family picture even though it was clearly painful for him.
i'm thankful for my cute baby girl and the darling outfit my mom got her for her first thanksgiving!
i'm thankful for my buddy shelby and how much happiness she brings me.
dinner was straight craziness. along with my in laws, we also had some friends over for thanksgiving dinner who have 3 kids under 3! i had finally got cora settled in her bouncer so i could eat the delicious food, but then shelby came downstairs with her spiderman fishing pole and cast her plastic fish into cora's head. she was fine, though i thought there would be a fish shaped bruise on her face! there wasn't even a mark. but poor me, i had to wait a little longer to eat the BEST turkey i have ever tasted. oh my goodness trevor is such a pro.
here are the cute and crazy kiddos. finally letting the rest of us eat!
cora and marcus. 4 months apart!
shelby and lola
such a big girl.
hugs for sister!
nope.
i didn't like that one bit.
shelby always finds a way to make her happy again. she's such a big helper.
shelby's new favorite show is shaun the sheep, and here is the first picture ever where trevor and i knew instantly what she had made instead of having to say "wow! tell me about that!" here is how shelby described her masterpiece: shiny crown, silly eyes, fluffy coat, two legs, happy and silly smile, and a beak (!)
after dinner was over and cleaned up and everyone else was resting and watching football, shelby and i sat down to talk about what we were thankful for. i had these leaves/feathers ready for shelby's list. here is what she told me to write: (in random order) turkey, blessings, shaun the sheep, flamingo book, family, bones inside me, airplanes and jets, food, school, my red toy car, family (again), t rex toy, and the chunky monkeys. (the preschool class next door to hers who they play outside with).
at thanksgiving, cora was still a half army/half regular crawler.
chasing her sister's bike around the kitchen was super fun.
i'm so thankful for my little girls!
