while the cat's away

 here is one of the fun things my mom took shelby to do while i was recovering:

feeding the ducks/swans in danville. 

you're not supposed to bring bread, you have to buy the fancy duck food from the fancy grocery store!

 these birds mean business

 and they will bite your toes in search of food.

 which is why shelby decided to get back in her stroller

 also, it was her last chance to use the single stroller!

 since it was february in the middle of the week, mom and shelby had the park to themselves! 

other than that random creepy guy of course.

 i love this little park and shopping center because right behind shelby is anthropologie!

shelby is so cute. but i can't get over those light up shoes. 

they are better than disney princess shoes or something but c'mon. oh well. she loves them.

  and i love her. as does grandma, who is the culprit behind the light up shoes!

 and she is also the culprit behind shelby's deep love of ice cream. being a grandma definitely has it's perks! you never have to say no to ice cream!

oh yeah. grandma did the laundry after this one! :) she didn't mind. love you mom!

 grandpa also got in on the fun of having shelby over.
