visiting the easter bunny

last week we were so excited because the easter bunny was finally at the mall!

in march when we would go to stoneridge and the bunny wouldn't be there so shelby would say "the easter bunny is still making the eggs!" 

i just said yep! because i wasn't going to confuse her more by saying that bunnies don't actually make eggs. chickens make the eggs that we color. though chickens don't lay bright colored plastic ones with candy inside. what weird traditions really. isn't this about jesus? but anyways. 

the girls were in coordinating outfits.

despite the look of the picture, shelby LOVED the bunny and gave him hugs and high fives. but once it was time for pictures she refused to smile. here she is hugging a big, stuffed peep! mmmmm peeps. i love them. the best thing to do is leave them out of their package for a day or two and let them harden a little. sounds weird, but it's delicious.

after this pictures she was done and climbed underneath the bench.

funny story, we went to the park in the morning before going the mall. while there shelby found the sandbox and proceeded to take off all her clothes! she thought she was at the beach. or maybe she was keeping her clothes clean for the picture? we'll go with that.

i couldn't believe it. 

she just climbed on my lap and told me that the easter bunny is wearing nice glasses and a nice scarf and that she likes his ears. they're buddies.
