Moore's Pumpkin Patch

on the friday before halloween we finally got to go to a pleasanton pumpkin patch. this being our third halloween here in dublin and p-town, it was about time!
and this post is totally long and totally because this is a future scrapbook. read on only if you are someone who thinks everything my two year old does is adorable. so basically you have to be related to care. :)otherwise you may want to skip it!
i warned you.
a true statement.
all the pumpkins left were humongous and shelby had fun trying to pick them up while we waited for
grandpa to arrive!  it was a belated birthday present for my dad to come to the patch with mom and me and shelby. since it wasn't my birthday week, trevor wasn't there. :)
but forget the pumpkins, shelby had fun stuff to do.
looking good.
nope. too high. don't wanna.

bouncing was fun though.
until one other kids came in and then she wanted OUT. sharing? not so much.
so she coerced grandpa with a very pretty please to take her on the big slide.
they went up
and up

and up!
neither of them are scared of heights,
unlike grandma who was more than happy to stay on the ground with me.
i know you can't see her face, but i feel like this picture somewhat shows how freaking fast this slide was. yikes! the mother part of me was a little nervous!
but she was so happy.
(thank you camera for catching this fast shot of her joyful face!)
but now it was grandpa's turn!
what a good sport he is!
again?
this time my dad had her go down on her stomach!
awesome hair shel
again?
the third time was the charm
as in the third time hurt. this picture is an action shot.
and being the bad mom i am, i chose to continue take pictures.
it was just a little ouchie.
but after grandpa got down, she was all done.
by done, i mean done with that slide, not all slides.
she and grandpa were determined to conquer her fear of this steep slide.
grandpa was an awesome coach, giving her positive reinforcement as she climbed.
we went to a bouncy place with a slide like this a month or two ago and nothing i could say could convince her to climb, but grandpa is a pro.
and shelby triumphed because of it!
at first i thought she was scared.
silly me. she was thrilled!
double high five!
but after that she decided to go down backwards on her stomach for the next 100 times.

here she is saying "bye mommy".
oh thanks shelby, leave me just because i am pregnant and boring!
once we got to the little maze my mom took off running and shelby knew exactly what to do.
chase grandma!
and then grandpa had to help in the chase too.
gosh you guys are fun! and so young!
that is shelby's "angry" say cheese face and it was the best of the 5 tries!
okay, grandma is so much more fun than me.
even though it's blurry, i had to include it because their game of peekaboo was hilarious.
hide.
peekaboo!
this was more my speed, playing with rocks
and throwing rocks.
oh look! i was there!
shelby didn't want to leave, so the worker lady gave her two plastic spiders which made everything better.
whew! fun times!
