the 4th

we had a super low-key 4th of July.
it was nice and relaxing, though i do wish i would have been brave enough to have shelby wear her dress to church that morning. it was so cute. we got it at cracker barrel when we were visiting richard in florida. not your typical toddler shopping spot!
it is so crazy how shelby is unaffected by the cold. brrr.
she doesn't care one bit. i think it helps that she never stops moving!
being chased is her absolute favorite thing.
you can't say no when she says "peez!"
especially grandma. she didn't even mind running in her festive heels.
she's the funnest.
then we had to warm up again inside and eat "snakes" which are actually gummy worms.
shelby also thinks hoses are snakes and she says "SSSSS" when she sees one and gets scared.

then shelby helped daddy build a fire.
we sat around it and stayed cozy and warm while we watched all of the huge illegal fireworks that everyone sets off on the beach below us. they go on for about 3 hours! shelby wasn't a huge fan and started saying "bye-bye!" and blowing kisses and then "all done!" after a few minutes of fireworks. :)

Adorable 4th of July dress! She totally could have worn it to church! Who'd have thought that Cracker Barrel would have such a cute dress!
