playtime

i am so glad that my mom has a big house and has been able to keep so many of my old things.
such as my old barbies which have now become shelby's new barbies

poor things didn't know what hit 'em
they have been getting serious play time lately.

and even though trevor says barbies will give shelby body issues i say no way!
they're just dolls with abnormally big boobs and long legs and blonde hair, it's no big deal.

because look! barbies are also excellent at playing piano!
those are some talented dolls.
the great thing about shelby is that even while wearing pink she is still ready to have fun outside.

she can go from playing with barbies to playing with bugs in no time.

"i found a snail! want it?"

the vineyards have become a very fun place to run and hide from mommy

but it's pretty hard to blend in when you are wearing hot pink

she was careful to not get too much mud on her pink chucks

see? not too bad

i like snails too by the way. i watched trevor put salt on one this week. it was sad and cool.

i thought we had almost made it out in one piece

and then she sat down in the mud and cleaned off her shoes with her hands. oh well.
on our way back in we stopped to look at a beautiful gerbera daisy
i thought she just wanted to smell it
and then poof! it was gone.
and so was she!
she ran straight to grandma to give her a very freshly picked flower.
maybe she remembered that it matched grandma's coat or
maybe she knew grandma wouldn't let her get in trouble.
either way she was very proud of herself.
