hollywood studios

after animal kingdom the boys were disney-ed out. no big deal, since we did go there our first night anyway.
but mom and i weren't ready to hang up our park hopper passes just yet!
so we loaded ourselves onto a jam-packed bus and headed over.
picture mom trying to entertain crazy shelby by herself in the back of the bus while i was at the front holding 3 bags and the folded up stroller while surrounded by nerdy high schoolers playing on their phones and glaring at me if the stroller got anywhere near them. :) there were so many band/choir groups at disneyworld this trip and they were oh so dorky. it was cute.
mom's favorite thing at hollywood studios is the animation tour where they tell you about the new movies they are working on and then you take pictures with characters at the end.
but, shelby was with us and had some energy
a TON of energy!

we knew that she wouldn't make it through a tour so instead we went straight in to see the characters.
we only took pictures with the incredibles because there wasn't a line for them!
we tried to take a picture with belle, but shelby wouldn't get anywhere near her because she is scared of "real people", it's only fully dressed up characters that she wants to hug!
afterwards we went to the playhouse disney show. i wasn't that familiar with the shows, especially handy manny. i thought his voice was really deep and mature for a name like handy manny.
but to shelby it was all totally awesome.
especially the little einsteins. i admit i sort of love their opening song.
and i also always learn new things when i watch the show. it's pretty high brow if you ask me!
trevor is not a winnie the pooh fan so shelby hasn't gotten to know these characters yet.
i bet she would like tigger though.
luckily i had done enough prep work so she knew who mickey and minnie were at least!
her favorite part was when confetti leaves came down from the ceiling. she was ready to take them from other kids if necessary! it was so fun to have a child old enough to go to playhouse disney.
i felt like such a mom.
i also felt like a nerdy mom almost the entire time because of
1. my green side bag
2. my huge diaper bag that i wore as a backpack
3. my canon camera that i wore around my neck (!)
i know but it was the safest place for it and the easiest way to take pictures!
4. and sometimes another bag that we carried with us and filled with various souvenirs, shelby's dirty clothes, etc. that i also ended up carrying by the end of the day! i was like a mommy camel.

what a trip. and no way i would have survived without mom there!
thanks mom, you are the best! without you i couldn't have ridden any fun rides or eaten any meals. and as ashley commented, it is totally awesome that you wore heels at the parks and never complained!
