weekly lodi trip

every week mom, shelby, and i go to lodi to bring food and joy  to the widowed grandparents. i actually visit my grandma peggy solo since her house is extremely non-baby proofed. the house isn't dangerous for shelby, shelby is dangerous for the house, like grandma's perfect stacks of family history papers and dvds are always in big big trouble. so mom watches shelby for a little bit and grandma and i hang out. usually i download new pictures of shelby and her 8 other darling great grandkids from my cousins' facebook pages (thanks guys!) for her computer's slideshow. she rushes over to her computer every day whenever the screensaver comes on and watches them until they disappear. she never gets tired of it, and she can't figure out how to turn the slideshow on herself!  though as an 82 year old who uses email and the internet well, i think she is way ahead of the curve. we talked about the bachelor this week. she and i both liked tenley for sure. and oh man she can't wait for dancing with the stars to start again. it's her favorite! grandma cracks me up.

great grandpa lou and shelby had fun looking at the garden. she is a little farmer in training. also, grandpa is currently repainting my mom's old room to now become shelby's toy room! saying that he's the best doesn't even cover it.
shelby enjoys having the run of the lodi house. she could push her stroller all down the long driveway!

and she gets to play in grandma's curtains

this is why we have shutters
she's crazy.
shelby also checked out the golf green with grandma
yup, this is in the right place. nicely done.
good, get the golf balls out of the holes, excellent.
end with a little raking. perfect! shelby, you are hired!
oh look! she even picks grapefruit!
definitely bigger than the tangerines at great grandpa's house.
she's a farm girl, a dirty and cute one.
here. i have tasted of the fruit and want to share it with my family.
