uncle richard and uncle brett got shelby a GI-NORMOUS elmo doll. once they got it out of the wrapping paper shelby went right over to it, hugged him and gave his orange nose a kiss. awwwwww. awesome present guys! since we left for fresno on Christmas eve night we get to open presents before hitting the road.
shelby kept trying to steal grandpa's Christmas presents to feed to the big elmo (cheetos and cheez-its-he's hard to buy for okay? btw he loved them) trevor and i got really into Christmas this year and spent a ton of time getting just the right presents for everyone, we hoped! it was so fun to watch everyone open them and see if they liked our sometimes funny and mostly super-awesome gifts:
-license plate frames from sport chalet that were free and said "I wish I was skateboarding" (right) "I wish i was waterskiing" (none of us have ever!) for the dad, richard, and brett. oh and did i mention that trevor wrapped all of our gifts?
-dad got a dvd of the amazing discovery channel show Raging Planet, soooo cool.
-mom got a "greatest hits of bread" record to frame in her office, it's a band apparently
-richard got that big red tennis ball from the show House that he has on his desk and the book "how to be famous" by spencer and heidi pratt. :) ha ha ha
-brett got a lakers mini basketball hoop and ball for his room, an itunes gift card, and an ed hardy mouse pad ('cause he likes ed hardy and i hate the stuff and so the mouse pad is as far as i would go-jon gosselin wears ed hardy, enough said)
i got my parents my current favorite dvd, Lost in Austen, it's a 4-part BBC production where a modern girl from London gets transported into pride and prejudice. it's freaking awesome, if you like pride and prejudice that is, and i do, alot. but not as much as my parents! they have probably watched both the bbc and the kiera knightley versions roughly a ba-jillion times. story continued: last weekend they decided to watch it and i was nervous because recommending movies to your parents is risky business. but they loved it! they said that they kept saying, oh one more scene, and stayed up until midnight watching it which is totally amazing since my mom always falls asleep during movies. i was overjoyed! they called me and put me on speakerphone and we had an in-depth discussion comparing the three pride and prejudice movies. ;) so, if you are an austen fan you have to see it!
thanks mom and dad for an awesome Christmas eve! and dad once again, i loved your festive shirt and tie!
