kitty!

our little axel kitty's birthday is sometime in august. he is 4 years old now! i can tell he is getting older in a few ways. he isn't quite as playful as he was in his kitten days and he has gotten extremely picky about his food. he only likes a very specific kind of canned food, the little diva. 

but some things haven't changed at all! he is still the most mellow, loving, cuddly cat in the world. he has adjusted to shelby well and even though he has claws he has NEVER tried to scratch shelby, or hissed at her, or even gotten mad when she mauls him-which she does daily.

see? he just succumbs to his fate patiently. and now that shelby is super mobile she can catch him by the tail sometimes!

so she usually pokes him in the face and then pets him like she is trying to break his ribs. so much love. whenever he meows no matter where shelby is in the house, she meows back to him and tries to find him. she's obsessed and also i think she is a little hurt that he won't wave back to her. ;)
