it's gymboreeeeee time!

yes, we go to gymboree now and weeee love it! it is so great to just focus on shelby and to have her watch the other babies. she is fascinated. the teachers are awesome and i love talking to the other moms. though it can be intimidating, one mom told me that her daughter is in sign language class, music class, she also takes her to reading hours, and attends an organic baby food class, and is thinking about also blah blah blah i stopped listening. i thought just taking shelby to gymboree and the mall was good enough! enjoy those classes though lady! shelby and i will be watching american idol if you need us. that is like a music class right?

but really, that was only one of the moms. i actually love it when we have the "discussion" part of the class where each of the moms talks about what books/games/toys their babies love and also what their baby is doing lately. we are all so proud and i am always looking for good advice. very enlightening.

here we are playing the peekaboo game. shelby loves to watch the teachers (she is the one in the blue shirt with the crazy yellow scarf on her head.) the teachers have lovely singing voices. when i told trevor that the teachers sing most of class, he said  "isn't that awkward?" and it isn't at all, unless someone had a video camera on us and then i would probably be embarrassed by the faces i make during the songs, trying to make shelby laugh. 

here are shelby and kyle (a younger man-by 3 days). they bonded right away over their non-crawling status. 

the tunnel makes shelby laugh like crazy for some reason. i rush to it first so that i can hear her laugh right when we get there. worth every penny. 

mommy and me at gymboree! ha ha to the next kid because no way will mommy have time! this is definitely a first baby kind of luxury! (sorry richard and brett, hate to break it to you but mom only took me to gymboree! i bet you wouldn't have liked the songs anyway, and really, you guys turned out just fine!)
